Over 20,000 Youths Equipped With Skills Through Vanguard-Backed Programmes

May 30, 2026 Kogi State

From ICT to tailoring and agriculture, young people are gaining the skills that take them off the streets and into productive livelihoods.

More than 20,000 young people have been trained and equipped with practical skills through programmes supported and championed by the Babayemi Vanguard.

The trainings span ICT, tailoring, agriculture, mechatronics and entrepreneurship — giving young people the tools to earn a living and build a future.

"Give a young person a skill and you give them dignity," the movement said. "You take them off the streets and turn them into job creators."

The Vanguard pledged to keep mobilising young people across the state to take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow.
